Important - Solid wood warranty.
Wood is a natural material that, unlike others, is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, and is therefore susceptible to changes in its structure.
The wood leaves the factory properly dried, using natural methods, for its purpose (humidity below 12%), mechanically assembled with hidden lamellae and exposed ties, and stiffened with metal profiles. We also fill the cavities with resin to minimize the unlikely dimensional or structural changes (warping, cracks, or fissures) that any external factor could cause (humidity, heat source, excessive dryness), which are inherent to its hygroscopic nature. In short, it needs to acclimatize to its new home and its environmental conditions.
If this happens, which is not a negligible factor as it gives the product the character of a natural and "living" product, it will not be a reason for exchange or return , as it is unforeseeable and inherent to the very nature of the wood.
Mulet can offer a repair service for this abnormality, provided that the customer returns the product to the factory at their own expense and risk, properly packaged, and upon prior agreement between both parties on the repair fee . During the warranty period, Mulet undertakes, at its discretion, to exchange or refund products found to be defective. Exchanged products are covered by the warranty for the remaining period.
We summarize what was previously said:
- Wood is a natural material that can undergo changes in its structure (warping, cracks and fissures). These are more likely to appear if there are sudden changes in temperature and/or humidity.
- We manufacture our pieces with all the safety mechanisms to minimize these changes (wood below 12% humidity, hidden lambetas, ties, steel profiles, resin, etc.)
- It is obvious that our warranty cannot cover these structural changes that are within the nature of wood.
- We offer a repair service at cost for these abnormalities, subject to prior agreement on the amount of the repair.
We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you so much.
